Sandra Hüller Played a Role in Avengers: Doomsday

German actress Sandra Hüller, an Oscar nominee for Anatomy of a Fall, appears in Avengers: Doomsday, according to The Hollywood Reporter and Variety. Her role has not been revealed, but the sources say it is a small one.

Fans are already guessing which character she plays. Theories include the mother of Victor von Doom or one of the Latverian witches, whose costumes were shown earlier at San Diego Comic-Con. The identities of those witches have not been revealed.

Some fans doubt that Marvel would cast an Oscar nominee for a cameo. In their view, Hüller could be playing a new character who gets a larger role in future Marvel Cinematic Universe projects. For now, all of this remains speculation.

In Avengers: Doomsday, heroes from different universes unite against Doctor Doom, played by Robert Downey Jr. The crossover brings together characters from Fantastic Four, Thunderbolts, Black Panther, Thor and the classic X-Men. Marvel has still not revealed much of the cast, so Hüller’s involvement is another surprise and probably not the last.
