RTX 4070 Runs Bloodborne in PS4 Emulator, and Fans Show Sony What Players Want
A fan-made PC version of Bloodborne with NVIDIA DLSS Frame Generation support runs at more than 200 FPS on a GeForce RTX 4070. On PS4, the game is capped at 30 FPS.
The YouTube channel MxBenchmarkPC tested the unofficial port by Super Medo. At 4K with DLAA, the game averages around 40 FPS. With DLSS set to Quality, performance exceeds 100 FPS, and in Performance mode it reaches 120–130 FPS.
At 1440p with DLAA, Bloodborne runs at around 130 FPS, and at 1080p it reaches up to 220 FPS. By comparison, the original PS4 version runs at 30 FPS and suffers from smoothness problems and uneven frame pacing.
The port is an unofficial solution and was not made by FromSoftware. Enthusiasts are also working on other improvements, including path tracing. Players will have to rely on these community efforts, because neither the developers nor Sony have announced plans to update Bloodborne in a long time, let alone release a sequel.
