Rockstar Sends Gift to GTA VI Buyer Following Polite Request, Facing Criticism From Other Players

Some people think that the gift recipient should not have talked about it on the internet.

A gamer under the username aogustoo recently shared that he bought the Ultimate Edition of Grand Theft Auto VI with his first paycheck. After that, he wrote an email to Rockstar Games and, according to him, received a reply.

aogustoo wanted to receive an official GTA VI poster as a gift:

I just bought GTA VI Ultimate Edition with my first paycheck! And I am just so happy right now. I am a huge fan and wanted to ask: is there any possibility for you to send me a signed GTA VI poster so I can hang it on my bedroom wall? This would mean the world to me!

Judging by the screenshot of the correspondence, a Rockstar Games representative confirmed that they could send a poster, but without a signature:

We will gladly send you a poster as soon as they are made. I can’t sign it because I am not an author of the game.

Then aogustoo published a photo of himself with the poster:

Not all players appreciated aogustoo’s post. The most popular comment by BijoBar states: “They will get a bunch of emails after this.”

prince_0611 “does not understand” why people share such information, because publicity “spoils everything good.”

Dikke_Domkop_8771: “Now all employees will be flooded with spam. That employee was kind enough to send you a poster, and you treated them like this — they will never do it again.”

Grand Theft Auto VI is scheduled for release on November 19, 2026, on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S consoles.
