Risk of Rain 2 Halloween DLC Enters Steam Top Sellers With Very Positive Reviews

Many players have expressed interest in the Hallowed Concepts content.

In October, developer Gearbox Software and publisher 2K Games returned to the roguelike Risk of Rain 2 to introduce the Hallowed Concepts expansion.

The developers invite players to dive deeper into the dark, cult-like world of N’Kuhana:

The DLC features 7 enemies, 7 levels, various items, and secrets. Additionally, new survivors join the roster: the Acolyte, who dances across the battlefield playing with enemies and gaining power through her own life force, and the Defender, who holds the line or pushes forward using dynamic tactical movement.

Players can embark on adventures alone or with friends. The creators of Risk of Rain 2 clarified that for new content to appear for the entire lobby, only one player needs to own the Hallowed Concepts expansion. However, there is a catch: “players without the expansion will not be able to select the new survivors or permanently unlock new items, logs, and other content.”

The Steam store page for the Risk of Rain 2: Hallowed Concepts expansion is available via this link. Initial reviews are “very positive,” holding an 83% rating after several hundred user reviews. Over the weekend, the DLC and the base game both entered the global Steam top-10 sales charts.
