Rockstar Developing Enhanced Version of Red Dead Redemption 2 — Insiders
It appears the developers are indeed going to update RDR 2.
Recently Rockstar Games reminded players about Red Dead Redemption — though via a very different announcement. The original title is coming to iOS and Android, and a native release is planned for current consoles including PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and the Nintendo Switch 2.
Yet many fans have long been hoping for another kind of reveal — rumors have suggested an enhanced edition of Red Dead Redemption 2 is in the works.
Some members of the community speculated that an insider may have mixed things up, and that when they mentioned a reissue of RDR 2 they were actually referring to the first game.
However, insider NateTheHate replied to the criticism, saying: “This [the RDR 1 re-release] does not rule out the release of [an enhanced] RDR 2.” He did not provide a potential release window for Rockstar’s updated version.
Another insider, kiwitalkz, also insists that an enhanced RDR 2 is indeed being developed, but similarly cannot offer an estimated release date:
I don’t know the exact release date — Rockstar does what it wants, and the developers I know don’t set release dates; they have no control over that. Maybe they’ll launch [the enhanced RDR 2] within six months, or perhaps we’ll have to wait three years — who can say with Rockstar.
