Rocket League Gameplay Shown Running on Unreal Engine 6
Some players have already had the chance to try out the new version of Rocket League.
Several months ago at the RLCS 2026 tournament in Paris, studio Psyonix announced the decision to transfer Rocket League to the modern Unreal Engine 6.
The creators recently released a trailer featuring footage of Rocket League running on UE6. Professional players have already familiarized themselves with this version, as the developers organized a special meeting to conduct playtests and gather feedback.
Players gave interviews and shared that the developers are listening closely to their opinions. The video includes footage of Psyonix representatives taking notes during the gaming session.
According to Psyonix, this meeting is only the beginning. The Rocket League developers explain that they intend to hold additional meetings in the future, stating that “professionals will continue to help refine, improve, and rebuild the game from scratch until the new version of Rocket League receives approval [from pro players].”

Rocket League is expected to transition to the Unreal Engine 6 engine in 2027. The developers have not yet specified a more precise release date.
