Roblox Paid Game Creators Billion in 2025

Roblox Paid Game Creators $1 Billion in 2025

Roblox announced that developers earned $1 billion through its Developer Exchange program in 2025, surpassing the $923 million paid in 2024. This marks the first time payouts have reached that level within a single calendar year.

At its conference, Roblox also raised the Robux-to-dollar conversion rate by 8.5%, to $0.0038 per Robux. As a result, 30,000 Robux now convert to $114 instead of $105.

Company figures show the top 1,000 creators now average $1.1 million in earnings—an increase of 40% year over year. Developer revenue for the third quarter reached $427.9 million, up 85% year over year. According to the company, 47% of creators would not be able to earn without Roblox, only 25% have a university degree, and 74% work solo.

The most popular games are user-generated—titles like Grow A Garden and Steal A Brainrot drew millions of concurrent players. Creators monetize by selling in-game items.

Growth is being seen on mobile and PC. Research from Newzoo indicates the player base is aging but remains active: users aged over 13 increased by 54% year over year.

Child safety remains a concern. Roblox is expanding parental controls and is seeking participants for a Parents Council to provide feedback.
