Slated for release next year, the title is expected to arrive on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2, and PC. The announcement, which took center stage during today’s Summer Game Fest, continues Capcom’s impressive momentum following the critically acclaimed Resident Evil 4 remake.
While the original Code: Veronica arrived in the year 2000 as a pivotal bridge between the events of Resident Evil 2 and 3, it has long been a top request for the modern remake treatment. Given Capcom’s recent string of successes in reinventing its survival horror library, this project feels like a natural evolution for the series. Based on the debut footage, the studio is once again delivering stunning visual fidelity that pushes the RE Engine to its limits.
