Release of the “Russian Gothic” Of Ash and Steel postponed after “incredible” results at Steam demo festival
Players received an early look at the upcoming project, and the developers drew several conclusions about the current state of their game.
The Steam demo festival recently wrapped up, and the creators of Of Ash and Steel published their findings.
The title ranked among the most successful demos at the October Steam Next Fest (2025), and its wishlist total climbed past 220,000.
The Of Ash and Steel team opted to delay the release after discovering a number of issues. The launch was originally scheduled for November 6, 2025, but is now expected on November 24, 2025:
During testing, our teams uncovered several issues that will take a little longer to fix than we expected. To properly polish the game, we need a few more weeks.
