Reincarnated as a Sword Season 2 Trailer Released

Streaming service HIDIVE has shared a new trailer and key visual for Season 2 of Reincarnated as a Sword, ahead of its broadcast debut in October 2025.

In the upcoming episodes, the cat-girl Fran and her sentient weapon, Teacher, travel to a floating sky island where they must battle an army of the undead.

Animation studio C2C is returning to produce the new season. Shinji Ishihira is directing the project, with Takahiro Nagano handling series composition and scripts, and Atsuko Saito designing the characters. Yasuharu Takanashi, known for his work on Fairy Tail and Naruto: Shippuden, composed the score.

Based on the light novel series written by Yuu Tanaka, Reincarnated as a Sword follows a man who dies and awakens in a fantasy realm reincarnated as a conscious magical blade. He forms a partnership with Fran, a young cat-girl striving to gain power and help her beastkin tribe evolve. The 12-episode first season aired in Fall 2022, and production on a sequel was greenlit immediately after the finale.

Season 2 will begin streaming in Japan on ABEMA on September 30, followed by its television premiere on October 7. HIDIVE holds the exclusive streaming rights for international audiences outside Japan, though the platform has not yet confirmed its specific premiere date.
