Red Dead Online: the multi of Red Dead Redemption 2 becomes a stand-alone, all the info

Launched a month after the release of Red Dead Redemption 2, Red Dead Online has taken the time to grow briskly: a bit like wine, the multiplayer adventure of Arthur Morgan has improved over time to offer a extremely immersive experience, particularly well maintained over time by its developers. And obviously, they have a long-term vision of the project: Rockstar has just announced, as well, that Red Dead Online will turn into stand-alone from December 1, 2020. In other words, this means that you will no longer need Red Dead Redemption 2 to immerse yourself in its online part, the latter becoming severed from the original game.

However, the starred R firm will not offer it for free: you will have to spend the modest sum of 4.99 dollars (the conversion into euros remains to be formalized, even if there is a chance that the price will be 4.99 euros), at least until February 1, 2021. After this date, Red Dead Online will be sold at its real price, probably $ 19.99 since Rockstar indicates from its official website that “the promotional price of $ 4.99 corresponds to a reduction of 75% of the normal price”.

Red Dead Online will be marketed on PC (via the Epic Games Store, the Rockstar Games Launcher and Steam), PS4 and Xbox One in digital version only: don’t forget that on these last two platforms, the paid subscription to PlayStation Plus and Xbox Live Gold is required to play. By the way, we are informed that everything will be backward compatible, and therefore playable on PS5 and Xbox Series X / S.

Finally, last information to remember: this thoughtful multiplayer will take the place of 123GB on the hard drive. A greedy application, certainly, but which will allow the passage to unlock Red Dead Redemption 2 in a snap of the finger if you feel like it (against payment, of course). Ready to play cowboys?
