RDR2–Death Stranding Mashup Delayed; The Legend of Khiimori Set for Spring Release
The medieval survival title The Legend of Khiimori — influenced by Red Dead Redemption 2 and Death Stranding — will have to wait. Aesir Interactive’s game will enter Early Access not in November as originally scheduled, but on March 3, 2026.
The developers said the delay is a result of the demo’s “excellent reception” at the Steam Next festival. The additional time will allow them to introduce new features and content to deliver a richer launch.
Over the coming months the team will focus on refining the project’s core systems, including:
- world design and the hint system;
- camera, controls, and the user interface;
- performance and overall optimization.
The studio also plans to lower the minimum system requirements to make the game accessible to a broader range of players.
There is good news — the The Legend of Khiimori demo will not be removed from Steam as previously intended. It will remain available until November 30, 2025.
The Legend of Khiimori is billed as a medieval survival experience with courier-simulator mechanics, inspired by the spirit of Mongolia. After the demo’s success, expectations for the project have grown, and Aesir Interactive has pledged to “release the game in the most polished form possible.”
