“Nightingale Lane,” the latest evocative single from RAYE, has officially claimed the top spot in this week’s fan-driven music poll. Following a vote launched last Friday (Feb. 27), enthusiasts selected the singer’s poignant ballad as their favorite new release of the week.
The track emerged victorious amidst a crowded field of high-profile releases, including new material from global icons like BLACKPINK and Bruno Mars. RAYE’s soulful composition maintained a consistent lead throughout the weekend, ultimately securing 43% of the total vote. BLACKPINK’s new DEADLINE EP finished in a respectable second place.
“Nightingale Lane” serves as a deeply personal introduction to RAYE’s upcoming sophomore album, This Music May Contain Hope, which is set to arrive on March 27 via Human Re Sources. The single’s debut was accompanied by a stunning visual performance recorded at the legendary Abbey Road Studios, featuring a full orchestral arrangement.
“I feel as though I am crafting a form of medicine for myself that I can eventually offer to the world,” the vocalist noted in a statement regarding the upcoming LP. “My goal was to create a sanctuary—a soft place for people to land when they need it most, reminding us to have faith in the seeds we’ve planted even during the coldest seasons.”
The singer further demonstrated her artistic range during a standout set at the 2026 BRIT Awards in Manchester. On Saturday night (Feb. 28), she performed an electrifying medley at Co-op Live, seamlessly transitioning from the high-octane “WHERE IS MY HUSBAND!” into the tender notes of her new award-winning ballad.
Other notable contenders in this week’s poll included Bruno Mars’ full-length project The Romantic and Towa Bird’s latest single, “Gentleman.”
