Preliminary List of 10 Games Named for Xbox Game Pass in October

Microsoft has confirmed 10 games for Xbox Game Pass in October, including Gears of War: E-Day, Neon Abyss 2, and Valor Mortis from the creators of Ghostrunner.

The major premiere of the month takes place on October 6, when Gears of War: E-Day launches on day one for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass. The Coalition takes players back many years to the start of the Locust invasion. The story once again centers on Marcus Fenix and Dominic Santiago, and the developers promise a return to the grittier and darker atmosphere of the series’ earlier entries.

On October 8, subscribers gain access to Neon Abyss 2, the sequel to the fast-paced roguelike, alongside Echo Weaver. On October 13, Valor Mortis arrives in the service from One More Level, the studio behind Ghostrunner. It is a first-person action game with soulslike elements set in an alternate 19th-century Europe. Players step into the role of a resurrected Napoleonic Wars soldier.
