Marvel’s Wolverine Surges in European Sales

Marvel’s Wolverine has made a strong debut in several European countries, topping sales in France and Germany while selling 51,000 copies in Spain to outperform Ghost of Yotei.

It recently seemed that Marvel’s Wolverine would become one of the few single-player games from Sony in recent years to miss out on players and charts. The game received cool reviews from critics and users, although the early sales data points to the contrary.

In the United Kingdom, the project failed to lead the chart, losing to Ghost of Yotei. However, Wolverine became the best-selling game in France and Germany. In Spain, during the week of September 14 to September 20, 51,000 copies of games were sold compared to 33,000 for Ghost of Yotei.

At the same time, 36,370 copies, or about 70%, came from physical versions. Digital sales totaled 14,945 copies. PS Store DB forecasts that worldwide sales of Marvel’s Wolverine will reach 3.2 million copies by September 30.
