SCS Software first showed the rebuilt Port of Rotterdam on May 14, 2025. The work later shipped on May 6, 2026 as part of the free Euro Truck Simulator 2 update 1.59 and its Benelux Rework. The port is now part of the base map rather than a separate DLC.

The game area combines container terminals, a refinery, logistics sites, warehouses, and roads around Europoort. Drivers can reach the ferry connection to the United Kingdom and pass landmarks such as the Thomassentunnel, Calandbrug, and Harmsenbrug. SCS used new assets and denser industrial scenery to distinguish the port from Rotterdam’s urban streets.

What changed in the Benelux map

Update 1.59 revised more than Rotterdam. SCS rebuilt Amsterdam, Groningen, Brussels, Liege, and Luxembourg, and added new detail to Antwerp and the DAF complex in Eindhoven. The Rotterdam port remains the largest industrial section of the Dutch rework, with delivery points spread across several kinds of cargo facilities.

The real Port of Rotterdam extends for more than 40 kilometres and covers about 12,500 hectares, according to the port authority. The ETS2 map compresses that scale while retaining recognizable transport links and the division between terminals, industrial sites, and ferry traffic. The images above come from the 2025 development preview, while the finished map is available in version 1.59.
