Mob Entertainment has confirmed that the Poppy Playtime series will receive a fifth narrative episode. The hugely popular free horror franchise of recent years is set to expand further.
The developers released the first teaser on Halloween. The brief clip reveals shadowy laboratories, narrow corridors slick with black slime, and a new foe — a massive spider. Steam lists Poppy Playtime: Chapter 5 as scheduled for 2026. According to the studio, this will be “the most ambitious and intense chapter in the series’ history.”
Players can look forward to a continuation of the Playtime Co. storyline and a final showdown with the mysterious puppeteer behind the terrifying events. The team promises refreshed mechanics, a redesigned GrabPack system, and expanded exploration areas — including new factory wings and subterranean laboratories.
While an exact release date has not been announced, the teaser indicates that Poppy Playtime is approaching its conclusion. Since the first chapter debuted in 2021, the series has built a large audience by combining horror, puzzles, and the eerie atmosphere of childhood nightmares. Chapter Five is expected to bring the Playtime Co. saga to a close.
