Ratchet & Clank: Ranger Rumble is the newest entry in the long-running series familiar to PlayStation fans. This installment departs from the franchise’s usual approach to target mobile audiences, and extended gameplay footage helps gauge whether it can win players over.

An unexpected presentation of Ranger Rumble recently appeared online. Rather than an Insomniac Games arcade console title, this seems to be a free-to-play arena shooter for mobile devices from studio Oh BiBi. Even with the new direction, the team appears to have preserved the series’ core charm.

Although there hasn’t been an official global launch yet, the game is already available in some regions and the first gameplay recordings have surfaced. Those clips are long enough to show not only the tutorial but also full matches across multiple modes.

Bolt Rush — a 6-player PvPvE mode where players race to collect 200 bolts while confronting opponents and a boss. Total Rumble — a hybrid of PvP and battle-royale for six players; only one remains after everyone else is eliminated. Blast Ball resembles Rocket League: the objective is to score goals and outplay rivals in 3v3 matches.

The footage also reveals daily challenges, weapons to unlock and upgrade, and cosmetic items. Ranger Rumble is a free-to-play title featuring seasons, rotating events, rewards, and additional characters.
