PlayStation 5 Emulator Runs Early Build of Marvel’s Wolverine on PC

Optimization is still in very rough shape.

Recently, a PlayStation 5 emulator called KytyPS5 made it possible to boot Marvel’s Wolverine on PC. At the time, tech enthusiasts could only observe the menu.

Now, a gameplay screenshot has been published online. Judging by the frame shared by carygolomb, Marvel’s Wolverine runs on PC without major graphical bugs.

Testing was performed on a PC equipped with a GeForce RTX 4070 graphics card paired with an Intel Core i9-13900K processor. At present, this setup delivers around 3 FPS, meaning developers still have a lot of work to do on optimization.

This summer, tech enthusiasts began running the Demon’s Souls remake on PC using an emulator. Back then, everything also started at a few frames per second, but recently they managed to reach 40 to 50 frames. Players hope that something similar will happen with Marvel’s Wolverine.

Aside from KytyPS5, another PlayStation 5 emulator exists called SharpEmu. Tech enthusiasts are currently working on booting another exclusive, Ghost of Yotei from studio Sucker Punch Productions.
