Persona 6 and Persona 4 Revival Coming to Switch 2
For years, experiencing the acclaimed Persona franchise on a Nintendo console felt like an impossible dream, as PlayStation traditionally maintained exclusive rights to the core entries. That paradigm shifted dramatically in 2022 with the triumphant launch of Persona 5 Royal on the Nintendo Switch. Since then, Atlus has consistently delivered brilliant remasters and modern remakes to Nintendo’s hybrid ecosystem. Following the arrivals of Persona 3 Portable and Persona 4 Golden in 2023, Persona 3 Reload in 2025, and the spiritual successor Metaphor: ReFantazio—crafted by veteran Persona developers—in 2026, Nintendo enthusiasts have enthusiastically embraced playing these sprawling RPGs on the go. Today, Atlus delighted fans once again by confirming that both Persona 4 Revival and Persona 6 are officially making their way to the Switch 2.
True to tradition, the Switch 2 iteration of Persona 4 Revival will launch slightly after its debut on other hardware. While the game is scheduled to land on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC on February 18, 2027, the Switch 2 version will follow a few months later on May 20, 2027. Unlike Persona 4 Golden—the enhanced port currently available across multiple platforms—Persona 4 Revival is a comprehensive, ground-up remake of the beloved 2008 PlayStation 2 classic. It completely modernizes the aesthetic presentation while seamlessly integrating the essential quality-of-life upgrades introduced in later franchise installments. Furthermore, unlike the approach taken with Persona 3 Reload, Persona 4 Revival retains all the expanded narrative arcs and gameplay features first introduced in Persona 4 Golden.
Additionally, Atlus wrapped up the Persona showcase during the Nintendo Direct with a tantalizing teaser confirming that Persona 6 will also arrive on the Switch 2. While specific details regarding a simultaneous multi-platform release remain under wraps, the title has previously been confirmed for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
While an official launch date for Persona 6 has yet to be announced, eager fans can mark their calendars for Persona 4 Revival, which debuts on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC on February 18, ahead of its subsequent Switch 2 release on May 20.
