Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse Launches on PC With Technical Issues
Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse has launched on PC with technical problems, and Steam players rate it “Mostly Positive.” The game marks the series’ return after almost 20 years.
Konami and Evil Empire, the studio known for Dead Cells, set out to continue the Castlevania series. The console version turned out fairly well and lets players return to a universe fans love.
The PC version is in much worse shape. Players report launch problems, unstable performance, crashes to desktop, and other technical issues. As a result, the game has 71% positive reviews on Steam. Media scores are significantly higher, at 84% on Metacritic based on 61 reviews.
Despite the issues, Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse peaked at more than 21,000 concurrent players on Steam.
