PC Gamers in Battlefield 6 So Fed Up with Console Players’ Aim Assist They Started Disabling Crossplay in the Game’s Files

Some players have chosen to distance themselves from console owners.

PC players in the Battlefield 6 community have long complained about console users — they often benefit from aim-assist systems that make targeting easier.

Some PC gamers have grown so frustrated that they’ve taken action themselves, disabling crossplay in Battlefield 6 by editing the game’s files.

Swedish esports competitor OTTR shared the method: in documents/battlefield 6/settings/steam/PROFSAVE_profile you should add the line GstGameplay.CrossPlayEnable 0 (without quotation marks).

At present this ‘advanced’ workaround isn’t widely adopted, so matches can sometimes be filled with bots due to the smaller pool of players.
