According to Deadline, The White Lotus actor Patrick Schwarzenegger has joined the cast of the upcoming crime thriller The Bookie and the Bruiser.
He will star alongside Vince Vaughn and Theo James in the film, which is written and directed by S. Craig Zahler, known for his work on Dragged Across Concrete and Bone Tomahawk.
Set in late 1950s New York City, the story follows two war veterans—Rivner (James), who is Jewish, and Boscolo (Vaughn), an Italian-American—as they team up to launch an underground gambling operation, taking on the roles of bookie and enforcer, respectively. Their venture soon lands them in the middle of a volatile turf war between the Italian and Irish mobs.
Schwarzenegger has been cast in a dual role, portraying twin brothers Auggie and Bernard. A formal release date for The Bookie and the Bruiser has not yet been announced.
