Oscars accused of hypocrisy over mountains of trash

A new scandal has broken out at the Oscars: viewers accused the celebrities invited to the event of hypocrisy after photos of a mountain of trash left in the Dolby Digital hall after the conclusion of the 98th ceremony leaked online. The image quickly went viral as a meme.

The photo was published by a journalist from Next Best Picture. It shows rows of empty seats littered with empty bottles, popcorn boxes, and food packaging. It is worth noting that traditionally, before the nominations begin, all audience members are given food kits in case they get hungry.

Social media users called such behavior by the stars hypocritical; after all, each of them publicly advocates for the environment and nature conservation. This includes Leonardo DiCaprio, who was also present at the ceremony.

However, the event organizers dispelled the general doubts. It turns out that the audience was asked to leave the trash behind, as special cleaning is conducted in the hall after the Oscars.
