Filming for “The Maid 2” has begun

Lionsgate has unveiled behind-the-scenes footage from the set of “The Maid” sequel. The follow-up to the hit thriller is slated for a Russian theatrical release on December 16, 2027.

Sydney Sweeney is set to reprise her starring role, with Paul Feig returning to the director’s chair. The ensemble cast has also expanded to include Kirsten Dunst, Paul Anthony Kelly, Brittany Snow, Michele Morrone, and others.

In this installment, Millie (Sweeney) secures a position as a maid for a billionaire (Kelly) and his wife (Dunst). Before long, the couple’s sinister secrets begin to emerge. The sequel is adapted from Freida McFadden’s novel, “The Maid’s Secret.”

The original film premiered in December 2025, achieving a global box office haul of $400 million.
