Christopher Nolan’s epic feature, “The Odyssey,” has officially shattered the $1.5 billion mark in global ticket sales, according to industry reports.

The film secured $563 million domestically in the U.S. and an impressive $988 million from international markets, bringing its cumulative worldwide gross to $1.552 billion. Additionally, the unofficial theatrical circuit in Russia contributed more than 700 million rubles to the total.

This ambitious adaptation of Homer’s classic poem features an ensemble cast including Matt Damon, Tom Holland, and Anne Hathaway. Produced on a budget of $250 million, the film has now solidified its status as the highest-grossing project in Nolan’s filmography, eclipsing the commercial success of both “The Dark Knight” and “The Dark Knight Rises.” The digital release of “The Odyssey” is scheduled for November 17.
