The God Slayer’s protagonist refuses to bow to the gods.

Pathea Games, best known for the cozy life-sim franchise My Time, recently unveiled gameplay footage for their new title, The God Slayer.

The story unfolds in an East‑inspired steampunk metropolis. In this world the deities—known as the Celestials—rule with a “sacred fist.” At one point, humanity provoked them and paid the price:

A number of inquisitive individuals discovered how to channel qi for themselves, shaping it into elemental forces—fire, water, earth, metal and wood. These artisans came to be called the Elements. The Celestials reacted with fury, deeming this an unlawful appropriation of what they considered rightfully theirs. To chastise humanity, they launched a rapid and brutal strike against the Zhou kingdom, the most powerful realm in the region. In a single night the king and many Elements were hunted down and wiped out. That day went down in infamy as the Fall of the Gods.

The narrative centers on the capital of the Zhou kingdom. The protagonist, Chen, whose family was ruthlessly slain by the Celestials during the Fall of the Gods, embarks on a quest to liberate his people and exact vengeance for his loved ones.
