Fans of The Elder Scrolls are working on a range of ambitious mods.
The team behind Beyond Skyrim: Cyrodiil recently revealed a presentation of one of the regions. Unlike Skyblivion — which recreates The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion using the TES V: Skyrim engine — their project focuses on original storytelling.
The modders led a tour of the revamped port city of Anvil and the Golden Coast. They’ve implemented more than 100 distinct NPCs, authored dialogues and daily schedules, and are developing new, original quests.
At this stage the team is using AI-generated voiceovers as placeholders; they plan to bring in professional actors later. No release date has been announced yet.
