Roadside Landmarks in ETS2: Nordic Horizons

Nordic Horizons for Euro Truck Simulator 2 places sculptures, monuments and other real-world-inspired sights along the roads of northern Europe. SCS Software presented this selection on April 8, 2025. The map expansion was released on November 27, 2025 and requires the Euro Truck Simulator 2 base game.

The featured objects include Lysfontene, or Light Fountain, in Norway. Several sculptures stand in the middle of roundabouts. In Vaajakoski, Finland, the developers recreated a composition built around matches. It refers to the town’s sawmills and their history of making wood products, including matches.

Storuman in Sweden is represented by Vildmannen, the Statue of the Wild Man. SCS Software describes the red figure as a symbol of the strength of Lapland’s people, the golden staff as a sign of wealth and the leaf wreaths as a reference to the region’s nature. The entrance to Gällivare also has a welcome sign surrounded by moose sculptures.

The Steam page lists 40 cities, 30 smaller settlements and more than 200 depots across Nordic Horizons. The map covers northern Norway, Sweden’s Norrland and Finnish Lapland. These roadside landmarks add recognizable details to routes linking cities, industrial sites and remote communities.
