Nintendo has quietly added a dedicated Nintendo Store app for iOS and Android. Available on the App Store and Google Play, the app lets you browse and buy games, add titles to a wishlist, and subscribe to news and event updates for specific releases. Its standout addition, however, is a new play-activity view built into the app.
After signing in with your Nintendo Account you can review play data for Switch and Switch 2 systems, and—remarkably—see playtime logged on legacy platforms. The app surfaces 3DS and Wii U play records that were recorded before February 2020, making it one of the most convenient ways to inspect a decade-plus history of Nintendo play activity going back to the 3DS launch in 2011.
Yes, installing another Nintendo app is a minor annoyance—Nintendo already offers separate apps for Switch, music, news, and parental controls—but the play-activity feature is a useful addition that brings long-term play history into a single mobile view.
