Comparisons between The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Remake and the original N64 release have appeared online, showcasing a complete overhaul of the game’s graphics, characters, and environment while preserving the spirit of the original.

Nintendo has revealed the first footage of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Remake. Players will not have to wait long, as the release is scheduled for November 5, making the remake one of Nintendo’s major titles for the end of the year. Following the gameplay reveal, initial comparisons with the Nintendo 64 version surfaced online.

The material clearly demonstrates the scale of the changes. This is not a simple remaster with increased resolution, as Nintendo has completely reworked the visuals. Characters were built from scratch, receiving more detailed models, new textures, and significantly richer animations.

Locations underwent even greater changes. Familiar places retain their previous structure while receiving numerous additional details. Vegetation is denser, the environment is more natural, and modern lighting and shadows completely transform the look of Hyrule. The difference is especially clear when directly comparing identical scenes.

Ultimately, Ocarina of Time shapes up as a full-fledged remake that preserves the spirit of the original while utilizing the capabilities of modern hardware.
