New video games based on the “Saw” and “John Wick” franchises are in development
Both the Saw and John Wick franchises have a history of venturing into the gaming industry.
New video game announcements for the Saw and John Wick intellectual properties are reportedly just around the corner.
Media outlets have recently highlighted comments made by the Chairman of Lionsgate. During a financial earnings call last year, Adam Fogelson addressed the strategy for intellectual property monetization, stating:
“We approach every [monetization] opportunity on an individual basis. While there are numerous low-risk licensing deals available, we are prepared to invest selectively in certain cases. Our expanding capabilities in the AAA space and other interactive projects surrounding John Wick, Saw, and several other franchises that we will soon reveal, are opening up significant new horizons…”
Speculation regarding new interactive adaptations for these iconic series has been circulating for several years. Previously, both franchises have made their way to consoles and PCs with titles like 2009’s *Saw: The Video Game* and the tactical strategy game *John Wick Hex*. Notably, neither of these titles is currently available for purchase on digital storefronts.
