The main protagonist balances several different occupations.

In late August, developer AttritoM7 Productions and publisher IZilla Games released a new trailer for Blackwood. It is a stylish third-person action shooter whose combat scenes remind some players of the shootouts from the John Wick film franchise.

The main character balances multiple jobs: by day, he works as a regular DVD store manager in 2012 New York, and by night, he becomes a ruthless assassin.

During firefights, the hero will be able to use cover and engage in close-quarters combat:

A signature mechanic of BLACKWOOD is a huge variety of contextual takedowns. From one-on-one hand-to-hand combat to using environmental elements, every fight offers a chance to finish off enemies in an effective and precise manner. It is a realistic, weighty, and easy-to-learn system.

You can add Blackwood to your Steam wishlist using the following link. The game is scheduled for release on September 16, 2026.

There is a catch: only the first act will be released initially, with the second act scheduled for March 2027 and the third for September of the following year. Each act will feature several main and side missions.

The developers clarified that “when purchasing Blackwood, you get the full game, not just the first act.” All subsequent acts will be provided to game owners in the format of free updates.
