New PS4 Pro Jailbreak Enables Bloodborne 60 FPS and Modding
Players have hacked the PS4 and used a custom patch to remove Bloodborne’s 30 FPS cap, allowing the game to run at approximately 60 FPS on a PS4 Pro at 720p resolution.
The new jailbreak method supports PS4 consoles running firmware versions 13.00 through 13.52 and utilizes the console’s built-in browser. Following a successful hack, GoldHEN launches to provide access to additional features and modifications.
A patch is available for Bloodborne that raises the limit to 60 FPS and disables motion blur. However, the exploit operates unstably, occasionally causing errors or crashes that require a console reboot. After restarting the PS4, GoldHEN must be activated again through the browser.
The modification also carries risks when connecting to the PlayStation Network. PSN continues to operate on firmware 13.52, meaning the use of a hacked console with Sony services could lead to consequences.

Interest in a 60 FPS version of Bloodborne has persisted for years because Sony has yet to release an official update, remaster, or port of the game.
