Nintendo has released an updated trailer for Metroid Prime 4: Beyond — Nintendo Switch 2 Edition, a special version of Samus Aran’s return tailored for the new console.
The trailer establishes the premise: Samus answers a distress signal from the Galactic Federation and soon finds herself at the center of a disaster after crash-landing on the mysterious planet Viewros.
In this new first-person installment the bounty hunter explores a variety of biomes — from the luminous plains of Sol Valley to darker, more unsettling regions. She retains her classic abilities and also acquires new Psychic Abilities that let her interact with the environment in novel ways.
The Switch 2 enhanced edition offers a refreshed take on Samus’s journey, preserving the series’ core spirit while expanding opportunities for exploration and deeper tactical interaction with the game world.
