Bandai Namco is lining up a release-heavy 2026, highlighted by the return of the Code Vein franchise. The sequel is poised to fill the gap left by Dark Souls and Elden Ring while FromSoftware focuses on an exclusive for the Nintendo Switch 2.
The new entry in this “vampiric soulslike” franchise appears confident and could become one of next year’s standout releases.
The latest trailer spotlights a protagonist named Noah G. MagMell — a revenant propelled by a craving for vengeance and a desire for justice. He was transformed into a revenant after being forced to abandon his human life. The trailer teases parts of his backstory and demonstrates the combat techniques players will employ against the game’s monsters.
Code Vein II is scheduled to launch on January 30, 2026.
