Actress Elle Fanning portrays two characters in the upcoming film “Predator: Planet of Death.”
Ahead of the film’s release, 20th Century Studios has unveiled a new clip spotlighting Elle Fanning’s second character — a synthetic named Tessa, created by the Weyland-Yutani corporation.
In the excerpt, Tessa receives a transmission from the artificial intelligence MU/TH/UR, familiar to fans of the original “Alien.” The synthetic is assigned by the corporation to retrieve a biological specimen bearing the code XX0522, but MU/TH/UR warns that a Yautja (the Predators’ original name) could disrupt the operation.
Previous materials and the synopsis indicate that the other synthetic — Tia, also played by Elle Fanning — travels with a young Yautja named Dek, portrayed by Dimitrus Kolomatangi. It appears that Tessa will function as the film’s antagonist, launching a hunt for Dek and Tia.
“Predator: Planet of Death” is set to premiere on November 7, 2025.
