Ninja Gaiden 4 Expansion “The Two Masters” Debuts Next Week
The relentless action of Ninja Gaiden 4 is set to expand next week with the arrival of its first major DLC. On March 4, “The Two Masters” update will officially launch, introducing three brand-new story chapters that pick up right where the main campaign concluded.
A recently released trailer provides a glimpse of the chaos to come, highlighting protagonists Yakumo and Ryu as they confront formidable new adversaries. The expansion introduces signature weaponry for both warriors: Yakumo wields the Solitaire, an imposing scythe, while Ryu equips the Jakotsumon, a pair of razor-sharp bladed gauntlets. Notably, these weapons can be integrated into your arsenal even if you are still progressing through the original story.
In addition to the narrative content, the DLC introduces the Abyssal Road, a high-stakes endurance mode. This grueling gauntlet challenges players to survive 100 distinct combat encounters, featuring revamped enemy mechanics such as “Special Blood Essence” and “Frenzied” states. To access the Abyssal Road and the accompanying Trials, players must first clear the DLC’s story missions on any difficulty setting.
Beyond the new content, the update implements various quality-of-life enhancements, including refined combat responsiveness, character balancing, and broader weapon customization options. “The Two Masters” will be available for $14.99 across PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. Owners of the Ninja Gaiden 4 Deluxe Edition will receive the expansion at no additional cost.
