Netflix Announces Official Title for Cliff Booth Movie
Netflix has unveiled the official title for David Fincher’s upcoming film centered on Cliff Booth, the iconic character portrayed by Brad Pitt in Quentin Tarantino’s “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.” The project is titled “The Further Adventures of Cliff Booth.”
Pitt will reprise his role as the enigmatic former stuntman, who, in the aftermath of the original film, continues to navigate his place within the shifting landscape of the entertainment industry. The story picks up in 1977, eight years after the events of Tarantino’s classic. As Hollywood undergoes a radical transformation, Cliff must learn to adapt to a new era of filmmaking.
Netflix has also confirmed the release schedule. “The Further Adventures of Cliff Booth” will enjoy a two-week exclusive run in IMAX theaters worldwide beginning November 25, before arriving on the streaming platform on December 23.
The screenplay was penned by Fincher in collaboration with Andrew Kevin Walker. While Quentin Tarantino, the character’s creator, opted not to direct the sequel, he has spoken highly of the script. The filmmaker explained that he preferred not to make a sequel for what may be his final feature film, opting instead to avoid revisiting a world he had already explored.
