Naughty Dog Begins Testing and Localizing Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet — Job Openings

The studio is recruiting three junior QA testers and localization support specialists to work on the game’s German, Italian and Japanese versions. These new hires will be responsible for testing and maintaining the localizations for the upcoming project.

As testing and localization are typically carried out in the final stages of development, this hints that Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet could arrive sooner than expected.

In a previous interview, Naughty Dog president Neil Druckmann called the project “the most ambitious game we’ve ever undertaken,” emphasizing its scope and considerable budget. The title has been in development since 2020 and is currently in an active phase.

Druckmann added that Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet builds on the mechanics of Uncharted and The Last of Us—blending RPG elements with linear level design—now realised within a science-fiction setting. The narrative unfolds 2,000 years in an alternate future on the planet Sempiria.

The game will launch exclusively on PlayStation 5.
