Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault

Following a successful run in PC Early Access that began late last year, the highly anticipated fusion of dungeon-crawling action RPG and merchant simulation, Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault, is finally preparing for its official release. Developer Digital Sun has confirmed that the complete 1.0 version will arrive on September 2.

While the original 2018 title charmed players with its nostalgic top-down pixel art, this ambitious sequel transitions into a vibrant, fully realized 3D isometric art style. Despite the visual overhaul, the beloved core gameplay loop remains untouched: players step into the shoes of the adventurous protagonist Will, braving perilous dungeons by night to vanquish fearsome monsters and unearth rare treasures, only to curate and sell their hard-earned loot in their own village shop by day.

The upcoming 1.0 launch update brings an array of exciting additions, including expanded arsenals of weapons and armor alongside an innovative combat mechanic dubbed “Bomb Path,” which triggers explosive chain reactions on heavily battered foes. Furthermore, the merchant store expands to its maximum tier, unlocking additional Bloblet display slots, fresh aesthetic customization choices, and vastly increased floor space to cap off Will’s overarching narrative journey.
