Modder removes Grace from Resident Evil Requiem — the entire game can now be played as Leon Kennedy
The debut of a new protagonist hasn’t sat well with every fan.
Resident Evil Requiem occasionally shifts the spotlight away from Leon S. Kennedy, tasking players with controlling a character named Grace. This creative choice has proven divisive within the gaming community.
Modder Rabbit-TooneedIM has introduced a solution: a project that allows fans to experience the entirety of RE Requiem as Leon. However, this total conversion comes with several technical caveats.
As the mod is still an active work-in-progress, users may encounter the following issues:
- Cutscenes may suffer from a complete lack of audio.
- Interactions with environmental objects not specifically intended for Leon are unavailable.
- Engaging with a specific character can occasionally break the aiming mechanics.
- Loading into specific segments of the game might cause the character model to vanish.
- Key items may sometimes become non-interactable; a mod reinstallation usually resolves this.
The “Full Playable Leon” modification for Resident Evil Requiem is currently available for free via Nexus Mods.
