Modder Adds Professional Voice Acting for 48 Characters in Skyrim
An enthusiast set out to diversify the voice acting in Bethesda’s game.
A new voice pack for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim was released recently. The project’s author opted not to use AI tools for its production and instead enlisted professional voice actors.
spdude explained that, while the original voice work is solid, he wanted to broaden the variety of voices heard throughout TES V: Skyrim:
The original Skyrim voice acting is competent, but Bethesda relied on a relatively small cast to voice over 1,000 characters. As a result, walking through any city often reveals the same voices reused across different NPCs. Skyrim Revoiced aims to fix that. Through meticulous effort by a talented team of voice artists, the mod adds eight new voice types for 48 NPCs across Skyrim, encompassing more than 5,000 lines from both original and modified dialogues.
Skyrim Revoiced is available on Nexus Mods. The following performers contributed voices to the pack:
- Thomas Barker
- Kurt Shipley
- MeekVoice
- Marlon Dens-Hoy
- Ryan Haugen
- Andrew Kretella
- Thea Solone
- Selena Mikes
