Electronic music pioneer Moby has pledged to donate the entirety of his performance fees from Coachella 2026 to four prominent animal welfare organizations.
The veteran producer shared the initiative on Thursday (April 16) via his social media channels. He explained that his primary focus remains his commitment to animal advocacy, noting, “My core mission in life centers on animal rights activism. My hope is to leverage both the platform and the revenue generated from my Coachella appearances to spotlight and provide financial backing to these essential organizations.”
Moby kicked off his festival run on Friday, April 10, delivering a highly praised set within the Mojave Tent. A highlight of the weekend included a collaborative performance of his 2000 seminal track “Natural Blues,” featuring the soulful vocals of Jacob Lusk.
Fans can catch Moby’s encore performance at the Mojave stage this Friday (April 17). Those unable to make the trip to the desert can stream the set live worldwide via the official Coachella YouTube channel.
The proceeds from his festival appearances are earmarked for the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine, The Humane League, Mercy for Animals, and Direct Action Everywhere. Regarding his selection process, the artist remarked, “I chose these four because of their unique and impactful contributions to the movement. While there are countless incredible groups doing vital work, I wanted to focus my support on these specific entities for now.”
A lifelong advocate for the cause, Moby reaffirmed his philosophy in his announcement: “I hold a simple, unwavering belief that every sentient being deserves the autonomy to live according to their own nature.”
