Two Demi Lovato Hot 100 Hits Have Just Gone 5x Platinum

Demi Lovato’s massive pop anthem “Cool for the Summer” has reached a stunning new milestone. The singer has officially been awarded two new RIAA five-times Platinum certifications for the 2015 smash and her critically acclaimed title track “Confident.” These fresh accolades arrive just as Lovato steps back into the Disney spotlight for the highly anticipated release of Camp Rock 3.

These latest honors join her expanding collection of multi-Platinum plaques, trailing only behind her massive hits “Sorry Not Sorry,” which secured seven-times Platinum status in December 2023, and “Heart Attack,” which achieved six-times Platinum certification in January 2026.

Disney Music Group President Ken Bunt formally presented Lovato with her newest certifications during a special presentation ahead of the Los Angeles premiere of Camp Rock 3 on Monday, August 10. The film officially premieres on Thursday, August 13, on the Disney Channel, followed by a streaming release on Disney+ the next day.

The updated certifications highlight the enduring cultural footprint of Lovato’s 2015 musical era. Upon its release in July 2015 as the lead single from her fifth studio album, “Cool for the Summer” climbed to No. 11 on the Billboard Hot 100 that September, while the album’s title track peaked at No. 21 in December 2015. This prolific chapter culminated in Confident debuting at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 in November 2015 and earning a Grammy nomination for Best Pop Vocal Album.

For longtime fans, Lovato’s return to the Disney ecosystem feels wonderfully full-circle. Her legacy with the network is permanently etched in pop culture history, largely driven by her iconic duet “This Is Me” alongside Joe Jonas from the original 2008 Camp Rock movie. Nearly two decades later, Lovato not only reprises her beloved role as Mitchie Torres in Camp Rock 3 but also serves as an executive producer on the project.

Most recently, the GRAMMY-nominated artist continued to evolve her sound with the release of her ninth studio album, It’s Not That Deep, in October 2025.
