Microsoft Refuses to Rule Out The Elder Scrolls VI Release on PlayStation

Comment Views: 2

Microsoft has not yet revealed the platforms for The Elder Scrolls 6, and franchise head Asha Sharma avoided giving a direct answer regarding whether the game will be an Xbox exclusive.

In recent years, Microsoft has scaled back its reliance on exclusivity by releasing its games on competing platforms. At the same time, the company does not intend to completely abandon projects restricted to its own ecosystem. The Elder Scrolls 6 remains one of the biggest mysteries, and its target platforms have not been officially confirmed.

During gamescom, Sharma was asked if Bethesda’s next installment in the series would be an Xbox console exclusive. She responded that “every platform needs a certain form of unique experience and content.” When the question was asked directly about The Elder Scrolls VI, Sharma only said, “It’s a great game.”

This response leaves Microsoft with multiple options: the game might skip PlayStation, receive timed exclusivity, or arrive on Sony’s consoles later. Specific details about the platforms are not available yet.
