Miami Officials Vote to Approve GTA VI Advertisements
The generated funds will help fund the renovation of an important municipal facility.
Miami Beach officials have approved negotiations to run a Grand Theft Auto VI advertising campaign. Not everyone supported the initiative, and the decision passed with a narrow margin of four votes in favor and three against.
Based on preliminary terms, developer Rockstar Games may pay roughly $3 million for the Grand Theft Auto VI advertising. Meanwhile, city authorities expect to gain approximately $4 million in benefits.
This advertising is expected to be handled with restraint. It is anticipated to appear on Boucher Brothers beach chairs and umbrellas, featuring the Roman numeral “VI” or “Vice City” instead of the full “Grand Theft Auto” name.

Opponents of the Grand Theft Auto VI advertising campaign pointed to the criminal theme of the game, as not everyone wants their city associated with such a project.
The revenue raised from the advertising will help completely finance the renovation of the Flamingo football field, which currently lacks funding.
The advertising campaign in Miami is planned to run from October 15 through the end of 2026.
Journalist Francisco Alvarado also reported that Basketball Properties, Miami-Dade officials, and Rockstar Games are close to finalizing a deal to install a giant GTA VI sign on the roof of the Kaseya Center.
Grand Theft Auto VI is scheduled for release on November 19 of this year for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S consoles. Rockstar Games and Take-Two have not officially announced a release window for the PC version.
