While the recent Nintendo Direct presentation for Mega Man: Dual Override was relatively sparse on major announcements, it treated fans to a first-ever glimpse of Proto Man in action. Distinct from the titular hero, Proto Man brings a dynamic edge to combat by seamlessly wielding his signature shield for both defensive protection and aggressive maneuvers.
The highly anticipated title is scheduled to launch on Nintendo Switch and its successor in Spring 2027. To celebrate the release, collectors can look forward to brand-new Amiibo figures hitting shelves on day one. This drop includes a fresh Mega Man figurine—marking his first standalone Amiibo since his classic Super Smash Bros. release—alongside an intricately detailed Proto Man companion.
