Meeting Venom: Cosplayer Brings Marvel’s Spider-Man to Life

Cosplayer Sergey Nuzhdov plunged into the Marvel comics universe to embody the famed Spider-Man and face off against Venom, who is hunting for a new host.

For the past 63 years Spider-Man has thrilled audiences with his memorable exploits. The iconic Marvel hero has appeared across numerous video games and accumulated a vast catalogue of films, animated series, comics and collectible figures.

Recently, Sergey Nuzhdov delighted fans with a new photoshoot. Captured by photographer Kira Mitenkova, he appears as Peter Parker locked in confrontation with Venom — the symbiote that came to Earth from the planet Klyntar.

Peter Parker — better known as Spider-Man — was bitten by a radioactive spider, which granted him remarkable powers. He boasts superhuman strength, agility and endurance, a precognitive “spider-sense,” an accelerated metabolism, and increased resistance to illness and toxins.

Spider-Man can cling to and sprint along walls, make impressive leaps, spin webs, capture striking photographs, and astound others with his knowledge of engineering, physics, chemistry and biology — he is exceptionally intelligent.
