According to The Hollywood Reporter, “Charlie’s Angels” director McG is teaming up with comedian Kevin Hart for a new project.
The currently untitled film will be released by Netflix. The plot centers on two rival spies who find themselves in an awkward predicament when their wives meet at a prenatal class and strike up a friendship. The protagonists must now navigate their new reality and learn to trust one another as they embark on the journey toward fatherhood.
The screenplay was penned by Jonathan Tropper (“Friends and Neighbors”) alongside Aaron and Adam Nee, the writing duo behind “The Lost City.” Ryan Reynolds and Shawn Levy (“Stranger Things”) are attached to the project as producers. An official release date has not yet been announced.
McG’s most recent feature, “Uglies,” was released on Netflix in 2024 to critical backlash. He is slated to debut an adaptation of the book “The Warrior Boy” later this year.
